IPv6 Prefix Delegation Support on ICX Switches

Posted on 20 Jan, 2019, in Uncategorized

Greetings! I’m in the process of setting up IPv6 in a dynamic environment, and I am wanting to be certain that I’m not missing something. From what I can tell, it is NOT possible to configure an ICX 6450 to use a delegated prefix for IPv6 interfaces. Is this correct? If so, how would you recommend handling a dynamic prefix situation? There’s no guarantee that the prefix assigned won’t get changed on a regular basis, so static assignments based on the PD would be inadvisable. Thanks!

Does Ruckus offer ICX training/boot camp type courses, either online or classroom through training partners?  I’m interested in taking a class or two.

Cannot Download of Ruckus ICX FastIron 08.0.80d (GA) Release Notes

Good Morning,I cannot download the Ruckus ICX FastIron 08.0.80d (GA) Release NotesIt is set for “Premium Support Users.”The irony is that the release itself like all others is still available to “All Users,” and working for a State Government, we have many hundreds of the ICX units in deployment all of which are covered by the warranty.  I really do not want to open a support case for a  PDF document.Any way, this can be resolved?Thank you

R510 AP and ICX 7150 – APs shutdown and do not power back on

Posted on 03 Jan, 2019, in Uncategorized

Here is my setup:Comporium Zipstream Gigabit fiber main box gets Ethernet from junction box in garage. The comporium box hands out dhcp addresses and has two built in wifi (2 and 5 GHz) networks enabled.Lan out of the comporium box goes to the ICX7150 which is connected to two R510s running via POE.  Separate SSID is on the APsI noticed the AP SSID was dropping, I went to look at the APs and sure enough no lights whatsoever. So I pulled the plug on the ICX and waited a few minutes and plugged it back in.  After around 4 minutes the APs come back online, but then after a short time, all the lights go out again and the only thing I can do is pull the plug and power cycle the ICX.I was able to update unleashed to the 200.6 (latest version I believe).Beyond what I’m doing I am a bit new to the whole AP switch configuration world.Any ideas as to what is causing this and what my next steps should be?
