Hi Every one,I have ICX 7150-24, and my firmware is SPS08080d.bin as primary. The Openflow is not supported. When a run SPR08080d.bin as secondary, then it supports OpenFlow commands. I am wondering is it possible to support OpenFlow in switch mode on ICX7150-24? If yes, please let me know which firmware I should install? Looking forward to receiving your positive commentsThanks!Nadir

Hi There,I would really like some help, please, does anybody know if the ICX7150-C12P supports Openflow, I have searched google, I can’t find a “feature navigator” (like some of the other vendors have) where I can select a model / software version / feature, no clues apart from https://www.ruckussecurity.com/ICX-7150-C12P.asp under “Feature Set” shows:SDN featuresOpenFlow v1.0 and v1.3OpenFlow with hybrid port modeOperates with an OpenDayLight ControllerWith a note at the bottom for this “Feature to be supported in a future release” but this might not apply to the C12, not sure?If it is supported is there any way to find the required software version?CheersRichard

ICX is joining the group with /32 subnet mask when it should be /128 since it is IPv6 PIM

Hi,I used to configure router PIM on HP switches to route multicast between VLANs, I need to know how can i do that on Ruckus switches?DTV ( channels streamer) on VLAN 120Clients on VLAN 8 My Config on HP switch is as fallow ip multicast-routingrouter pim enable rp-address 192.168.15.253 224.0.0.0 240.0.0.0 exitvlan 8 ip pim-sparse ip-addr any exit exitvlan 120 ip pim-sparse ip-addr any exit exitvlan 8 untagged 5,7 ip address 192.168.15.253 255.255.248.0 tagged 15-24 ip igmp exitvlan 120 name “DTVNET” untagged 13-14 ip address 192.168.120.254 255.255.255.0 ip igmp exit

Hello to All,I’m going to design and deploy network infrastructure in huge building based on Brocade ICX switches and other vendor switches (let’s say “MS switches”). As I’m new at Brocade, I need to ask for an advice. The topology will be the star with some redundant links between ICX 7150 (red links in the attached schema). Core of the network will be the 3-unit stack, consists of ICX 7450-48F switches. ICX 7150 and “MS switches” (in total, about 100) will act as access switches. I intend to configure about 250 VLANs on ICX 7450-48F stack, but only a few chosen VLAN IDs will be passed through each trunk port (ranges given in the diagram).ICX 7450 Stack will be RSTP root with the Root Bridge priority: 4096, ICX 7150 will have Bridge Priority: 16384.All “MS switches” has RSTP/STP disabled, and only Loop protection enabled. My questions are:- Does the ICX 7450 stack handle the calculation of the STP in such large deployment?- How to properly configure ICX 7450 trunk ports for all “MS Switches” to prevent them from participating in STP topology?- How to properly configure access ports to prevent from loops on all access switches? Should I use ‘stp-bpdu-guard’ or ‘stp-protect’ or something else?- Should I give up with redundant connections and give up at any kind of STP (clear star topology)?

In this process we are upgrading the image but, is recommended to upgrade the boot code first which is the same process.

Can the ICX switches fully integrate with Ruckus Cloud?I have been using the Ruckus cloud platform and wanted to know if the ICX switches could be managed via the cloud portal?I have found some info about ZD integration but don’t seem to be able to find any info relating to the Cloud. ThanksPhil

I like to request the enablement of “Broadcom 2.5G” and NOT to be confused with MultiGig via Aquantia or the likes.Obviously, this is a niche request to support the very few SFP modules that sync at such speeds, but they do exist in the market, such as: https://www.sourcephotonics.com/product/sps-34-24t-hp-tdfo/ or any powered by an Intel® FALCTM ONT GPONSFP PEF98035 Chipset PEF98035ETV13 S LLC5.Such modules do work when the interface is configured with: speed-duplex 1000-full as auto configuration fails but are not running at their default data throughput of 2.5Gbps.As you’re aware the ICX 7250 8 SFP+ ports are divided by 2 WarpCore’s, 4 SerDes pairs per core, and us mere end users can observe as much by running the simple command: phy 1/2/1.And from my past encounters with the WarpCore, it’s feasible to run native SerDes 8b/10b 3.125Gbps to achieve a data throughput of 2.5Gbps and most definitely so when the right bits are set, eg.https://community.broadcom.com/communities/community-home/digestviewer/viewthread?MID=698164https://www.dslreports.com/forum/r32230041-Internet-Bypassing-the-HH3K-up-to-2-5Gbps-using-a-BCM57810S-NIChttps://www.dslreports.com/forum/r32393899-Internet-Bypassing-the-HH3K-up-to-2-5Gbps-using-a-BCM57711-NICHopefully this request doesn’t fall on deaf ears and speed-duplex 2500-full works in a future firmware release.Thanks.

After enabling FIPS mode on a ICX 6450-24, I am unable to login through the console following reload. Console history review showed that the user account was deleted from the config after issuing the fips enable command in global config. There was no mention of this possibility in the FIPS mode configuration guide.I have been unable to reset or recover from this. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated…

So I understand how the Option 43 works well for the VSZ and ZD. However for the IoT controller documentation seems to be a bit confusing. It says that the IoT controller uses option 43 and suboption 21. I have tried a few different scenarios but no luck.
