Hi all,I’m quite new to configuring Ruckus products and new to configuring a smartzone in general and I’m having a little trouble getting my 7150 ICX switch to register to our SZ100.The switch I’m using has two lag ports and has multiple vlans. Our sz100 is in a separate vlan from the virtual interface (maybe that has something to do with it), so if anybody can see what’s wrong, please let me know.Here is my config so far:!ver 08.0.91T213!stack unit 1 module 1 icx7150-24p-poe-port-management-module module 2 icx7150-2-copper-port-2g-module module 3 icx7150-4-sfp-plus-port-40g-module stack-port 1/3/1 stack-port 1/3/3!!global-stp!lag NOC-UPLINK dynamic id 2 ports ethe 1/1/23 to 1/1/24!!!vlan 1 name DEFAULT-VLAN by port spanning-tree!vlan 15 name NOC-Servers by port tagged lag 2 untagged ethe 1/1/1 spanning-tree!vlan 100 name Office-Net-MGMT by port tagged lag 2 router-interface ve 2 spanning-tree!vlan 200 name Office-Net-DATA by port tagged lag 2 untagged ethe 1/1/2 ethe 1/1/10 to 1/1/12 spanning-tree!vlan 300 name Office-Net-Voice by port tagged lag 2 untagged ethe 1/1/3 to 1/1/9 spanning-tree!!!!!!!!!!!!!aaa authentication web-server default localaaa authentication login default localconsole timeout 5enable aaa consoleenable user disable-on-login-failure 10enable user password-maskinghostname NOC-ICX7150-24pip dhcp-client disableip route 0.0.0.0/0 10.1.10.1!username super password …..username pngadmin password …..username netmgmt password …..username velofiadmin password …..!cdp runfdp run!!!!ntp source-interface ve 2 server 10.1.10.1!!no web-management http!!sz registrarsz active-list 10.1.12.11!!!!!!!!!interface ethernet 1/3/1 speed-duplex 1000-full!interface ethernet 1/3/2 speed-duplex 1000-full!interface ethernet 1/3/3 speed-duplex 1000-full!interface ethernet 1/3/4 speed-duplex 1000-full!interface ve 2 ip address 10.1.10.3 255.255.254.0!!!!!!!!!!!!endHere is an SZ log:NOC-ICX7150-24p(config)#sh sz logsStart i/max/iter 270/512/2Oct 24 09:03:05:https_connmgr_send_request>Entered.Oct 24 09:03:05:sz_execute_state_machine>Exit with state/event: SZ QUERY/5, TIMER/2002 RC: 1Oct 24 09:03:20:sz_execute_state_machine>Entering with state/event: SZ QUERY/5, SZ QUERY RESPONSE/2007Oct 24 09:03:20:sz_parse_sz_query_response — Status: 600 <<Oct 24 09:03:20:sz_execute_state_machine>Exit with state/event: SZ QUERY/5, SZ QUERY RESPONSE/2007 RC: 1Oct 24 09:03:20:HTTP Request Error:Http remote connection close called.Oct 24 09:08:20:sz_execute_state_machine>Entering with state/event: SZ QUERY/5, TIMER/2002Oct 24 09:08:20:And according to the sz status, there is no connection and all attempts have failed.If you need any other information, please let me know.Thanks!

Environment has many Ruckus ICX devices and is heavily monitored by SolarWinds Orion. However, when trying to map network, many neighboring devices do not show all links. Some devices show some links but some devices show no links.FDP, CDP and LLDP has been enabled and is running on all devices. From device CLI: show FDP displays all FDP and CDP neighbors show LLDP nei shows all LLDP enabled devicesfrom Orion NPM Network Topology: L2 and L3 connections reports many UNKNOWN interfaces for both local and remote interfacesFrom what i have been able to determine:Orion is building neighbor tables based on SNMP LLDP-MIB. Specifically, Neighbors are identified and displayed based on ifIndex reported by lldpRemManAddIfIdIn some cases, this ifIndex # corresponds to a physical interface that Orion understands (i.e. 1-48) and maps. Other times, the ifIndex # is extremely large (i.e. 16777226) and Orion reports Unknown.Ruckus FastIron MIB Reference guide provides an Interface IS to ifIndex lookup table. It appears that the large value reported by lldpRemManAddIfId must be converted from decimal to binary to identify the port type, slot, port, etc ( Octet 0 thru Octet 5)Hoping someone else has seen this issue and found a workaround to enable Orion to create valid map of environment.

We have set of stack switches that get a very high CPU usage which drops RDP connections and slow everything down.

Goal –> implement 802.1x configuration on ICX Switches/WLAN to support 802.1x Authentication for SmartZone WLAN users.Currently, users are directed to WebAuth Page where login credentials are Authenticated by RADIUS.Need to ensure proper configurations are applied and VLANs are available on ICXs/WLAN for initial login and Authenticated user connections

Hello everyone,I’m a novice at best, really a simple DIY’er. Amazon installed a Ruckus ICX7150 switch in my smart panel and I have an acces point upstairs and another downstairs. Since there’s already a cable running from the panel, up through the attic, and to the access point, I would like to use that cable. My plan is to remove it from the access point and route it to a switch another switch. I would then run another cable from that switch and to the access point and then I would be able to run more cables as needed for other rooms upstairs. I have no wired lines and would like to have a few. Is this possible? If so, what kind of cable do I need to connect the switches and to what ports? Also, does the second switch need to be the same brand and type as the Ruckus ICX7150 downstairs?

Hi Everyone,i have a really bad problem right now. Over 200 switches are running 08080 as a firmware. I wanted to update them to the last firmware 08091 via smart zone as a schedule job. But when i try it it says :Connection no response, please try again later. (last command: show version | in labeled)I tried diffrent FW but same problem. I think it is a problem with the ufi versions. In SZ when i upload a firmware for example 08090 it takes only the ufi files from the zip and uploads them to the sz.Is there any chance to force sz to take the non ufi versions? So maybe then i can update from 08080 to 08090 and then to 08090ufi and after that to 08091ufi?I would appreciate any help.I dont want to update als switches manually with scp or tftp.

Tunnel offload feature was introduced on SmartZone 3.6.2 version to enhance and improve the tunnel data throughput performance. Article explains basic details of this feature as it is not part of regular SZ firmware release notes.
